In an exclusive interview with ET Now Surajit Pal of Prabhudas Lilladher speaks on the Pharma sector. Pharma stocks are being favoured because investors’ risk appetite has become lower and lower. There is a dearth of any other sector which can provide proper hope in terms of earnings growth; not necessarily price growth. Third point is that the pharma sector is also seeing some improvement of their businesses in the US market. Dipan Mehta on POST-COVID impact on the business, vaccine & more | Exclusive

Video description:
In an exclusive interview with ET Now Dipan Mehta on POST-COVID impact on the business. Typically bull markets do climb the wall of worry and right now there are a lot of worries but the market is just going higher and higher. Of course this has a lot to do with liquidity in India and globally as well. But the best strategy is to focus on a bottom up approach, good quality stocks which will survive, recurrence which will survive this pandemic and economic slowdown; so that should be in focus. At the same time a rally like this is a good opportunity to get a little bit into cash. I see many portfolios and a lot of investors are more or less fully invested but a rally like this is an opportunity to go at least 5-10-15% into cash so that should there be any sharp correction or a sell-off, you have some cash in the portfolio to sweep in and buy some of the good quality companies which may then be available at attractive valuations. Right now keep an eye on stocks which will survive and thrive in a post-Covid world. At the same time, try to increase the cash levels in your portfolio. We have seen such rallies and we have seen sell-offs also and the opportunity to buy will come when there is a decline, says Dipan Mehta Listen in! Is the Global Rally Sustainable? | Adrian Lim of Aberdeen Standard To ET NOW

Video description:
Market very much sentiment-driven even now but looking for positive news. Don't see markets touching March lows, but it won't be a smooth ride from here. Markets look at forward events, right now focusing on next year earnings. Seeing some exuberance in the markets as restrictions lift across countries. Do not expect a smooth ride from here on, expect some disappointing results. Difficult to call a sustained rally from here on. Need to see prospects for sustained growth over the medium & long term. The underlying trend for EMs remains strong over the long term. The case for buying emerging markets on a selective basis. There are things to worry about in the Indian financial system. Have confidence in Kotak Mah Bank, HDFC Bank in pvt bank space. Indian private banks continue to remain attractive over the long term. Would caution placing money across all rights issue that comes. Have been trading quite actively in markets. India's fundamentals remain intact, that gives some faith in trading. Have been net buyers of Indian equities, AUM remains stable. Have seen that COVID-19 doesn't affect all sectors equally, some are resilient. Online consumption has been catalysed by COVID-19 situation. Expect delivery and distribution systems to evolve post-crisis. Like insurance space; fundamentals are good. Insurance has ensured the preservation of consumer interests. Need to be selective in private banks, consumers and IT space. Currently have an Overweight position in India, not as high as earlier though. India will outperform in financial svcs & consumption theme over next 5 years, says Adrian Lim, Aberdeen Standard Subscribe To ET Now For Latest Updates On Stocks, Business, Trading | ► https://goo.gl/SEjvK3 Subscribe Now To Our Network Channels :- Times Now : http://goo.gl/U9ibPb The NewsHour Debate : http://goo.gl/LfNgFF To Stay Updated Download the Times Now App :- Android Google Play : https://goo.gl/zJhWjC Apple App Store : https://goo.gl/d7QBQZ Social Media Links :- Twitter - http://goo.gl/hA0vDt Facebook - http://goo.gl/5Lr4mC G+ - http://goo.gl/hYxrmj Website - www.etnownews.com

Back with social distancing, safety norms and more safe practices. We are seeing queries for small weddings across cities in India. Our key season begins from October, therefore will see recovery then. RevPAR will stabilise over time, occupancies too will stabilise. Our rates have not dropped across the board at present. Dominance in key metros will help co maintain micro-market leadership. During lockdown had a few properties open, used for quarantine, doctors and other medical staff. We saw a lack of complete clarity from State governments, hope for more coordination. Will open significant hotels over the next 3 months as unlock continues.
