Market very much sentiment-driven even now but looking for positive news. Don't see markets touching March lows, but it won't be a smooth ride from here. Markets look at forward events, right now focusing on next year earnings. Seeing some exuberance in the markets as restrictions lift across countries. Do not expect a smooth ride from here on, expect some disappointing results. Difficult to call a sustained rally from here on. Need to see prospects for sustained growth over the medium & long term. The underlying trend for EMs remains strong over the long term. The case for buying emerging markets on a selective basis. There are things to worry about in the Indian financial system. Have confidence in Kotak Mah Bank, HDFC Bank in pvt bank space. Indian private banks continue to remain attractive over the long term. Would caution placing money across all rights issue that comes. Have been trading quite actively in markets. India's fundamentals remain intact, that gives some faith in trading. Have been net buyers of Indian equities, AUM remains stable. Have seen that COVID-19 doesn't affect all sectors equally, some are resilient. Online consumption has been catalysed by COVID-19 situation. Expect delivery and distribution systems to evolve post-crisis. Like insurance space; fundamentals are good. Insurance has ensured the preservation of consumer interests. Need to be selective in private banks, consumers and IT space. Currently have an Overweight position in India, not as high as earlier though.
