Top Headlines of the day 1. The US Fed has warned that the American economy faces a "long road" to recovery. Chairman Jerome Powell said the Federal Reserve would keep interest rates near zero, for the foreseeable future, and continue to buy govt-back securities to support the financial system. 'To provide some relief and stability, to ensure that recovery will be stronger as possible into limit lasting damage to the economy. The most important response to this crisis has come from our health care workers. On behalf of the Federal Reserve, we express gratitude to those individuals who put themselves at risk', says Chairman Jerome Powell. 2. The top court is going to hear crucial Adjusted Revenue case which is extremely relevant for telecom companies and the entire health of the fragile telecom sector. The last date of the hearing was 18th March and the top court had ruled that no self-assessment of dues of the telecom companies will be allowed and they will not hear any further objection. The top had made it clear that all dues need to be paid as per the October 24th judgment including the interest and the penalty. Duties plea however seeking a reasonable time for payment is likely to be considered something which the telecom companies will be pinning their hopes on. Watch!
