DGCA issues additional safety measures, middle seats to be left vacant in all flights

Video description:
Almost 6 days after the commencement of domestic operations by airlines, DGCA has issued additional safety measures to be taken by airlines while boarding a flight. New notifications say that airlines should allot the seats in such a manner that the middle seat is kept vacant if the load factors permit the same. Given the load factor doesn't permit seats to be empty then additional protective equipment like wrap-around gown needs to be provided to the passenger occupying the middle seat. One more addition to the current notification is that no drinking water also to be served on board except in the case of a health emergency. The new norms will be applicable to all domestic flights from June 3 onwards. ET NOW's Uttkarsh Chaturvedi brings more details. Listen in!
