The top court is going to hear crucial Adjusted Revenue case which is extremely relevant for telecom companies and the entire health of the fragile telecom sector. The last date of the hearing was 18th March and the top court had ruled that no self-assessment of dues of the telecom companies will be allowed and they will not hear any further objection. The top had made it clear that all dues need to be paid as per the October 24th judgment including the interest and the penalty. Duties plea however seeking a reasonable time for payment is likely to be considered something which the telecom companies will be pinning their hopes on.
