While addressing the nation, he spoke about the negligence in personal and social behaviour which has been witnessed ever since Unlock 1.0 started in the country on June 01. Rapid spurt in the number of cases in the country was seen post the lockdown ease. "We can see that India is in a better position than many countries in the world when comparing the COVID-19 death rates", he said during the address.
