Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman briefed them media on the third tranche of the economic stimulus package worth ₹20 lakh crores. The Finance Minister talks about the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure & Development Fund which is worth ₹15,000 crores and National Animal Disease Control Programme worth ₹13,343 crores. Through the National Animal Disease Control Programme, 53 crore animals will be 100% vaccinated. The Animal Husbandry Infrastructure & Development Fund aims to support private investment in dairy processing, value addition and feed for the cattle.
