Airfares may jump by up to three times the pre-corona ticket prices in the first few days post lockdown as airlines may have to operate with only one-third occupancy to ensure maximum social distancing between onboard passengers. According to reports, airlines have already started preparing themselves for the post-lockdown period assuming that they have to maintain sufficient distance between two onboard passengers.
